Test 1 My View on University Marriage

A 50- year ban that prevented university students getting married has been lifted, which ha aroused people’s concern. Some think university marriage is reasonable while others insist that college students should not get married.

Those in favor of university marriage argue that college students are adults and should be given the right to get married. They also add that marriage is based on love rather than on materialistic goods you can offer somebody. If you love somebody, it doesn’t matter if you are in university or not.

Those against university marriage hold that university marriage brings students various problems. First of all, they think universities are where students pursue knowledge, but early marriage will distract their attention and energy from study. Secondly, college students are not financially prepared for marriage and marriage without solid financial support will become a burden to the student couples. Thirdly, since marriage should be based on a more stable basis, university marriage will be fragile due to the lack of stability.

Test 2 Problem of Piracy

The problem of piracy has been a severe phenomenon which pervades our life and does serious harm to our life and economy. The problem of piracy is very popular because piracy brings great interests to the persons who do piracy on the one hand, and some consumers think it cheap to get some name brand fakes on the other hand.

We should fight back the piracy in a firm attitude as there are three reasons. Firstly, piracy does great harm to legitimate producer, inventors and writers, for they have taken great pains producing their works. Secondly, it does some damages to consumers themselves because of the poor qualities of piracy products. Thirdly, it makes disorders in the normal development of our economy.

Is there any solution to the problem of piracy? I think we should let more people know the harm of piracy first. If more and more people know the harm of piracy, they will naturally refuse fake products. What’s more, government should have a good policy to protect legitimate producers and severely punish those illegitimate producers. Only in this way can we kill the piracy.

Test 3 On Military Training

Today in China military training has found its way into college life. Like soldiers, all college students are required to receive military training, about which people hold different attitudes.

Some people believe this kind of training is quite beneficial for the youth. For one thing, the training enables them to develop a sense of discipline. For another, the training makes them master some basic skills in the army. However, others strongly oppose it. They think it a waste of time because they see no connection between the training and the students’ study and their future jobs.

In my opinion, military training could be a valuable experience. On the one hand, it tells young people on the campus the meaning of hardship so as to inspire them to study harder. On the other hand, it offers them at least a taste of another kind of life.

Test 4 On- long distance Education

With the population of computer and information technology, distance education, though a new comer, has developed at a rather surprising speed in China and proved to be an effective way of learning.

Thanks to distance Education, many people in the poor areas could enjoy equal opportunities as their counterparts in the richer areas. More academic information can be communicated freely by different universities. What’s more, students in China are able to have access to schools and students abroad.

In spite of its enormous achievements, compared to that in rich countries, distance learning in China is still far from perfect and thus should be improved in the following two main aspects. First of all, the required facilities like computers are still lacking in some area and should be installed. Second, more knowledge and courses should be available through distance education so as to meet a variety of students’ needs.

Test 5 Fast Food

Nowadays, to keep up with the quickening pace of our society, many people turn to fast food to cut down their time spent in eating. Actually, I am no exception.

Well, what exact attitude should we take towards fast food? Firstly, we acknowledge that it really gratifies（使满意）our strong desire to save time. Nevertheless, (尽管这样，然而) every coin has two sides. Relying on fast food on a long-term basis may cause a person to suffer from malnutrition(营养不良). What’s more serious is that some fast food contains many calories which can turn into fat. As we know, too much fat is harmful to our health.

Therefore, manufactures should try new ways to cook fast food, such as adding in more nutritional ingredients, and manage to create more kinds of fast food to meet people’s need. Nonetheless(虽然如此), we should remember that we should not depend too much on fast food.
