Section One Translation from Chinese into English

Directions: Translate the following sentences into English.

Section Two Writing

Directions: For this part, you are required to write a composition on the topic On Keeping Pets.

You should write at least 150 words based on the following outline:

1) Pet-keeping is beneficial to people in several ways;

2) Pets may also bring about some problems;

3) Your opinion about keeping pets.

On Keeping Pets

Nowadays with the developing of economic and improvement of living standard, many families keep pets in their family as family member. In the morning, you can see there are many people walk with their pets in the park, for example a dog or birds. It is not doubt that the pet can company with you and bring some fun to you. But some problems come hand in hand.

On one hand the illness the pets may bring, such as Rabies. Rabies is mortality of human infectious diseases and the highest prevalence, dogs and cats are the most susceptible to and carry rabies virus. It may bring us the thread of life. On the other hand pets may make some noise and disturb the neighborhood. And the pets, for instance, a big dog may attack children sometimes.

As far as I am concerned, it is good to keep some pets but it only based on you have time and energy to train them not to attack people. That would make everybody happy.
