Given this protocol, Kasbah provides buyers with one of three negotiation strategies: anxious, cool-headed, and greedy (see Figure 3), corresponding to a linear, quadratic, or exponential function respectively for increasing its bid for a product over time. The simplicity of this negotiation heuristic makes it intuitive for users to understand what their agents are doing in the marketplace.
