全文的结束段中也包含了圣经的语言风格, 他不仅号召美

另外就是引用圣经中的词语, 如: L et bo th sides unite to heed, in all co rners of the earth, the command of Isaiah —— to “undo the heavy burdens, and ( to) let the opp ressed go free. 这 一段中的引语就出自圣经第58 章第6 节:“Is no t th is the fast that I have cho sen? To loo se the bands of w ickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the opp ressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?”

他的结尾铿锵有力, 很有感召力同时也说明了他对事业的 追求, 对国家的挚爱和对宗教的虔诚。他说:

W ith a good conscience our only sure rew ard,w ith h isto ry the final judge of our deeds, let us go fo rth to lead the land w e love, ask ing H is blessing and H is help, but know ing that here on earth God’s wo rk must t ruly be our ow n.
